Americus-Sumter High School has named Larry Harold as its new head football coach. Harold comes to ASHS from Central High School in Macon. Americus-Sumter Athletic Director, Coleman Price, introduced Coach Harold to the School Board and the large crowd at Thursday night’s regular board meeting. Price said there were 27 candidates, of which they were able to narrow it down to six and ultimately to one. Harold expressed to the board he was happy to be at Americus-Sumer High School and could not wait to get started. His plans are to impress upon the team when they put on the blue helmet, they are role models and the younger kids are looking up to them. Dr. Torrance Choates and the Sumter School Board members are looking forward to great things happening under the lights this fall.
The CD4 cell value bounces around a lot. Time of day, fatigue, and stress can affect the test results. It’s best to have blood drawn at the same time of day for each CD4 cell test, and to use the same laboratory.
Infections can have a large impact on CD4 cell counts. When your body fights an infection, the number of white blood cells (lymphocytes) goes up. CD4 and CD8 counts go up, too. Vaccinations can cause the same effects. Don’t check your CD4 cells until a couple of weeks after you recover from an infection or get a vaccination.
